I was thinking about what I wanted to accomplish this year. While I was pondering, I blinked and it was March already! Time seems to fly by quicker since I've gotten older. I know that's not my imagination; other people confirm that they experience the same feeling. I'm happy to be 50 Something but there is no time to sit around procrastinating. Do what is important to you. Do what is important to God. Do what will make a difference in this world.
But how do you begin? I begin with a notebook. Write down the things you would like to do. Write the things you would like to learn. Write the places you would like to go. Put a comment next to each with some some ideas of how to get started. I'll share some of my list at the end of this post.
If you don't know what your goal is, you will never hit it. Ever! If you have an idea of where you want to be, you can start working on it little by little, daily. My brother once told me a riddle. "How do you eat an elephant?" You do it one bite at a time.
Here are 3 things I want to learn:
1. I want to learn to play 2 or 3 songs on the ukulele.
2. I want to learn to safely handle a fire arm.
3. I want to learn to build a database in Microsoft Access
Here are 3 things I want to do:
1. I want to get rid of all clutter and unused items in my house.
2. I want to lose weight.
3. I want to start an online store
Here are 3 places I want to visit:
1. Glacier National Park, Montana
2. Boston, MA
3. The Biltmore Estate, Asheville, NC
There are other things on my list but I'm keeping some of them personal. You will have your own list and it will be personal to you. Get started today. Two months are gone already. I'll be writing more about these.
